Irrigation

This is a picture taken in Kansas, United States. Umm… WOW.

Center pivot irrigation is basically a method of agricultural irrigation which results in a circular field of crops. A huge column of sprinklers, fixed to the ground at one end, slowly travels around in a circle whilst spraying the crops below.

My mom and I flew over these in April, and asked the Stewardess what they were, but she didn’t know either. We were joking about how they are the *real* crop circles… lol

  2. Agricultural irrigation sounds. We had A huge column of agricultural irrigation we wanted to do. There weren’t quite so agricultural irrigation as we thought there would be at a circular field, but nonetheless it was still a good experience to go there.

I fly over those states all the time. I wonder what they look like from the ground, but I always knew they were those weird circle watering things. That’s a good picture!

  7. The first center pivot irrigation system these systems was invented by Frank Zybach in 1952 of Columbus, Nebraska. He sold the patent to a small company in Valley, Nebraska; “Valmont”. Today Valmont is the #1 producer of center pivots and galvanized light & utility poles in the world. The Center Pivot is a very efficient and cost effective form of Agriculture Irrigation. Many of the top Center Pivot manufacturers in the world are located in Nebraska. Including: Lindsay, Reinke, TL, Lockwood. If you want to look at parts and components that show the interworkings of these systems google any of these names. Also nebraskairrigation.com shows you all the components from sprinklers, electrical, structural, and mechanical parts found on a center pivot.
