7 (lesser know) awesome picture blogs

There a lot of picture blogs out there today, you probably have a couple of your favorites in your RSS reader (hopefully picdit ). But what about the ones that just for some reason are not getting as many page views as they should.

Below are a list of 7 AWESOME picture blogs:

1. wordepletion – This one just started about a week ago, actually. The creator of the incredible site Deputy-dog, decided to start this blog. Basically what he’s trying to doing is, use almost every word from the Oxford dictionary as the title of just one picture. And never re-use the same word in the title again. Very interesting idea.

2. today and tomorrow – The blog focuses around art and design. Two of my favorites, which often get posted here on picdit. This blog really stands out for me, I love the simplistic design and layout.

3. ping mag – They write about design and inspiration coming out of Japan. What makes this blog so unique is that they actually go behind the scenes and interview the people who make these magnificent works of art. This blog is a must for anybody needing some true inspiration in their lives.

4. gcaptian – This one revolves all around ships and boats. Yeah, I know that might sound a little bit lame, but.. The photography and video posted on the site is just phenomenal. Oh, and they also always have a cool ship ‘photo of the day‘ on their main page, which really makes you want to just buy a freakin’ boat.

5. rebel:art – Another art related blog, but really not your normal every forms of art. (example below) The post on this site are very creative and original.

6. the big picture: This one must be pretty well know by know since it’s been on Digg and Reddit dozens of time. But for those of you who don’t know what The Big Picture is, let me explain. Basically what they are trying to do is roundup the most incredible photography from a certain event in the world. And lay it out in a nice viewable way, with proper image captions.

7. toxel: This site has had some really great “creative advertising” posts along with your every day cool pictures
